To ensure high safety of connections by means of hardwired or wireless connection it is necessary to enable support of authentication (check) of authenticity. With its help there is an opportunity to limit access to your connection of other devices.

Instruction
1. For inclusion of an option of authentication in the wired networks it is necessary to load the operating system with the rights of the administrator since you will work with system data. Click the Start menu, select the Execute item. In the opened window enter the services.msc command and click the ENTER key. Also this component can be started by means of the search string which is in the lower part of the Start menu.
2. On the screen the window in which it is necessary to specify the admin password will appear and to click the ENTER key. In the appeared window pass to the Normal tab, then click the right button on the Wire Autotune point and in a context menu select the line "Start-up".
3. Return to the Start menu, select the Control panel item. In the opened window pass to the section "Network and Internet", then click the link "Network and Sharing Center" and select the Management of Network Connections element.
4. Right-click on connection for which you want to activate authentication, and select the line "Properties". If it is required to enter the admin password, enter and click the ENTER key. On the Authentication tab it is necessary to give a mark opposite to the Include Authentication point.
5. For inclusion of an option of authentication in the wired networks it is necessary to click the Start menu, and then "Control panel". In the opened window pass to the section "Network and Internet", then click the link "Network and Sharing Center" and select the Management of Wireless Networks element.
6. Right-click on networks for which authentication (Wi-Fi) will be carried out, and select the Properties item. On the Safety tab there is a Safety Type list, open it and select the 802.1X item.
7. Further you need to specify a way of encryption from the Encryption Type list. As a rule, for wireless networks the encryption of two types is used: WEP or WPA. This parameter is exposed depending on type of your connection.
