The cache of the browser is a storage of spare parts from the web pages which are already viewed by you. It contains images, a flash rollers, files of styles, JavaScript-scripts, Cook, etc. The browser brings together them if you want to visit the same place in network again - then it will not begin to load all this again but only will check whether dates of update of all elements of the page changed. If is not present - will extract them from storage if yes - loads from the server and will replace old with new. Such organization of repeated viewing increases the speed of loading of pages and reduces the spent traffic.

1. Place volume on the hard drive of your computer which is selected for it storage can be regulated. Need for it can arise for several reasons. First, too large volume of a cache can result in the shortage of free space on a disk, necessary for work of other programs. On the other hand, its too small volume will make the caching mechanism insufficiently effective. In the Opera browser for access to the volume regulator a cache memory you need to open a settings window. It can be done, having selected in the main menu the section "Setup", and in it the General settings point. And it is possible to use the hot keys - CTRL key shortcut + F12 will open a settings window too.
2. You should open the Expanded tab to select the section "History" in its left panel. In this section there is also a drop-down list of possible volumes of the disk memory allocated on a browser cache - select the necessary value. There is also other opportunity to limit the volume of a cache is to reduce the number of the saved pages. It can be done here, having selected the number in the Remember the Addresses list is necessary. And it is possible to turn off in general caching - for this purpose remove a mark at the Remember Contents of the Visited Pages point. To record all changes of settings of caching made by you click OK.
