Sometimes for increase in throughput it is enough to optimize the Windows settings. In particular, it is possible to reduce the value of throughput selected with the operating system in a reserve. Backup is carried out by the manager of packages of the Group Policy equipment.
It is required to you
- - computer with the Windows XP system;
- - editor of the group policy.
Instruction
1. Start editor group of the policy (Pusk-Vypolnit-gpedit.msc). In the appeared equipment select the Computer Configuration node, then expand the Administrative Templates node. "Network" find an object in a node "The manager of packages of QoS".
2. In the right window of an object open Limit Backed Up Throughput property. By default this policy is not set. In this case the system backs up 20% of throughput of connection.
3. On the Parameter tab select item "Is included". Set restriction of the throughput of 0%. Click "Apply", then – OK. At a task in the register of restriction of throughput for the specific network adapter the group policy at setup of the adapter is ignored.
4. Carry out the analysis of the reasons of an overload of an Internet channel. Select constant traffic which use different multimedia applications for real-time operation. As a rule, this traffic has the minimum value. Limit its use.
5. Contact provider of the Internet and pass to the new data plan providing use of the channel with a bigger throughput.
