The counter for the website is one of the most important tools, monitoring its popularity. It allows to define the number of visitors of the website per hour, day or month that in turn, gives the chance to analyze result of your work.
Instruction
1. The most widespread counter for the website at the moment is Liveinternet. Visit the website http://www.liveinternet.ru/, at the top of the page click on the link "Receive the Counter".
2. Enter the address of the website into the line "Address" (it is possible with www, it is possible without). Enter "mirrors" of your main website into the line "Synonyms" if such at you is if is not present, miss this field. Enter the name of your website and the operating e-mail. Enter the password twice, specify keywords by which users will be able to find your website. Specify additional options as it is necessary for you, click "Further", then on the Register and Receive Counter HTML Code button.
3. Select the design which is the most suitable under design of your website. If it is required, set additional parameters for the counter, having put ticks at the corresponding points. Then press the Receive Counter HTML Code button. On the opened page counter HTML code will be provided to you. Select all text and copy it.
4. Further edit pages of the website on which the counter will be visible (surely put the counter on the homepage, links of search robots most often conduct on it). Open the necessary page (for example, the homepage) in any text editor, or if you have a website on any engine, then the editor of pages will be built in the panel of administration of the website.
5. Usually the counter is put in the bottom of the page. Thumb through HTML code of the page to the bottom, find the closing tag </body>, put before it the cursor and insert the code of the counter. Save changes, look at result, having gathered the address of the website in an address bar of the browser. If you do not accept position of the counter, edit it by means of simple HTML tags.
