With wide circulation of laptops, the era of network cables began to come to an end gradually. Now many cannot provide the life without such banal things as wi-fi. It is not difficult create such network most at all and it is more than enough of options.

Instruction
1. We will show creation of a wireless network on the example of the WiFi-adapter of Asus PCI-G31. It is easy and pleasant to work with it, and setup will take no more than ten minutes. Install the adapter in the free PCI slot in your computer, and include the last. Further the situation will develop differently for the Windows XP + Vista and Windows 7 operating systems.
2. Windows XP. Here everything is simple. After the software installation start the program displayed in a tray. Select the Config item and go to the Soft AP tab. Put the end about the Soft AP_mode point. If you want users of a wireless network to have Internet access, then in the graph Internet select necessary network. Now come into the Config point – Access Control, and in turn enter the MAC addresses of network adapters of laptops necessary to you. Note: The MAC address is learned so: win+r – cmd – ipconfig/all.
3. Unfortunately, adequately working software under windows 7 was not written yet. But from current situation there is an output thanks to the fact that Ralink WiFi-adapters are made on the same chip, as Asus. Download and install Ralink Wireless Utility. Note: during the work in Windows 7, installation of original software is not required – only drivers are necessary. Click the right button on an icon in a tray and select the Switch to Soft AP mode item. Start the program and select the ARE tab. Here you can change a name of your access point (SSID) and the password (Key Material). As usual, if you plan to distribute the Internet on other devices, then in properties of your connection to the Internet allow access to the wireless network using this adapter. It is necessary to configure any more than nothing since access to network is provided with a password input.
