Several PC in the apartment or at office does not mean at all that it is necessary to connect the scanner or the printer to each of them separately. That the scanning and printing devices became available to all, connect office equipment on network.

Instruction
1. Equip computers with the network scanner. An opportunity to use office equipment will be had on equal terms by all participants of a local area network. Correctly set up and install the equipment. In order to avoid complications in operation of the network scanner consider some of its features and subtleties.
2. Consider, the network scanner directly is connected to a switch through a hub. If USB ports are enough, then the hub is not obligatory. The main difference of network scanners from normal – lack of a binding to one PC.
3. Complete stages of setup of network in the following sequence:
- Install drivers for the scanner, from a disk from vendor on all computers connected to network;
- perform tuning of drivers;
- you will assign to the network scanner the IP address;
- connect the equipment to a switch;
- enter IP value into newly established TCP port.
The network equipment will be connected with the server. The scanner will be able to send ready images on the specified computer, or the e-mail address.
4. Consider the possibility of setup of the normal scanner by means of WSD service. For this purpose, connect the equipment to network, make sure that the scanner is switched on. Click "Start-up" and select the Network tab. Find a scanner icon, having clicked on it (the right button) select the Install item. The Control of Accounts dialog box click Continue. Click on the line "Your Device Is Ready to Work", check parameters and click the Close point.
5. Now click "Start-up" again, find the Control panel parameter, pass into the Devices and Printers point. Make sure in existence of an icon of the network scanner. Now execute scanning, using WSD service. The name of the network scanner will be displayed on all computers participating in connection on a local area network.
