TCP/IP is a set of protocols which allows to connect individual computers and networks in the general computer network. By means of protocols of TCP/IP the majority of application programs communicate in Internet network.

Instruction
1. Features of the Windows operating system allow to configure quickly operation parameters with protocols of TCP/IP. Load this OS and open the Start menu and select the Network Connections submenu. Click the Display All Connections point.
2. Select the network adapter, Wi-Fi the module or specific connection to network or the Internet. Open properties of this device or connection. Now select with the left mouse button the Internet Protocol of TCP/IP point and click "Parameters".
3. If you need to use the dynamic IP address, then select the Receive the IP Address Automatically parameter. Install a tick near the To Automatically Receive the DNS Server Address point. Click Ok to save the set parameters.
4. For setup of the network interface card for use of the constant IP address select the Use the Following IP Address point. Enter value of the network address for this adapter into the first column of the working menu. If it is necessary to specify the address of the server or computer through which your PC will get Internet access or a local area network, fill the Main Gateway field.
5. During the work with the Windows 7 and Vista operating systems change TCP/IPv4 protocol parameters. It is most often used during creation of modern local area networks.
6. If you need to configure settings of the TCP/IP protocol of the router or router, open the web interface of this equipment. Select the WAN menu for setup of connection with the Internet or LAN to change operation parameters of a local area network.
7. Include the DHCP function if you want the router to give to computers the dynamic IP addresses. Turn off this function and independently set the range of the resolved IP if you prefer to use the static addresses. Save operation parameters of the network equipment. Reboot the device.
