Sometimes there is a need to learn from what IP address sent you the e-mail. The relevant information contains in it and in order that to learn it, not obligatory to be a hacker at all. Confidential it is not.
Instruction
1. Come into the electronic mailbox via the web interface. Use for this purpose the full version of the interface (not WAP or PDA).
2. Open the message which sender's IP address you wish to learn.
3. If your mailbox is on the server of Yandex, click "In addition", then - "Properties of the letter".
4. If you came via the web interface of Mail.Ru service, click at the bottom of the page on the link "Still" and in the appeared menu select "Control headings".
5. If you use Gmail, key a down arrow, located to the right of the Answer button nearby then select the Show the Original item in the menu.
6. When using other mail services find on the page or in dropdown menus the corresponding point independently.
7. Find the line similar to shown below in the appeared long text (web interfaces of some mail services provide its opening in a separate tab): Received: from domainn.ame (domainn.ame [nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn]) where nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn - is also the IP address of the sender of this message.
8. If it is several similar lines, the IP address of the sender is specified in the first of them. The exception makes a case when in it the local address, for example, beginning with 192.168 is specified. Then look for the real IP address in the second such line.
9. Write the address, close a separate tab at its existence and only then carry out an output from a mailbox.
10. If to you the electronic message of fraudulent character arrived or it contains threats, report the sender's IP address determined by you in management "K" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. You remember however that it could be put in order via the anonymous proxy server or via someone else's machine which owner, perhaps, even does not suspect that it is infected with a virus.
11. Never disclose information on the IP address of the sender of the e-mail obtained by you and also do not use it for the purpose of implementation of destructive actions of any character.
