1. Speed of the Internet depends on an Internet channel which is provided by provider – the company which is engaged in services of connection and providing access to network. Let's compare speeds of different Internet connections:
Dial Up (The Home phone number – internal the modem) – speed is up to 56 Kbps;
GPRS (Mobile networks) – speed are up to 64 Kbps;
DSL Cable (The Home phone number – the external modem) – speed is from 128 to 512 Kbps;
ADSL (Broadband Internet) – speed normal not less than 1 Mbps;
3G (Mobile networks) – up to 8.8 Mbit;
LAN – speed normal not less than 10 Mbps.
Speed of the Internet is measured in to learn the speed of loading of files. So, for example, 1 Mbit (1024 Kb) = 1024:8 = 128 KB (Kilobytes).
2. To learn the speed of your Internet connection, open the browser and visit the website http://2ip.ru/. Select the section "Speed Internet of Connection" in the heading "Tests". If desired, on the opened page, enter the entering and outgoing speed stated by provider in the special fields.
3. After input of a confirmation code click "Test". Wait until the website determines your connection speed, and you know the result - the joint speed, speed of the proceeding and entering channel.
