Internet Explorer is the most widespread browser in the World today. The first version of the Web browser often called for short IE was released by the Microsoft company in 1995. At present there are 9 versions of the browser.
Instruction
1. Learn number of edition (from 1 to 9) and also the full version number of the browser, in other words, of its assembly, it is possible through the built-in means of the help "About the program".
In different versions of the Microsoft Internet Explorer program the About the Program file is in directories and the menu which are called differently.
So, in versions of Internet Explorer 6 and Internet Explorer 7, it is enough to start the browser and in the top menu to select extreme right item, usually it is called "Help" or "Help". Click on point with the left mouse button once and in a context menu select "About the program". Before you there will be a small window in which the detailed build number of the web browser, it seems 9.0.8112.16421 and also a Web browser bitnost will be written: 32 bits or 64 bits (32/64 bit edition). To close a window with information on the browser, just click OK or "Close".
2. If in the browser in general there is no menu, but there are icons in the upper right corner, in the form of a lodge, a star and a gear – the version of your Internet Explorer – 9. To learn the full build number, left-click on a gear and in a context menu select final item – "About the Program". On the screen the similar menu, as in last versions of the browser from the Microsoft company will appear.
3. There is also an alternative way of viewing the version of the browser. It is possible to learn full option of edition of the Internet Explorer browser having entered the text of "iexplore.exe" (without quotes) into the search string in the Start-up menu bar. In start-up the search result of "iexplore" in category "Programs" will appear.
Right-click by the appeared result and select the Properties item in a context menu. In the opened properties window go to the tab "In detail". In the graph "Version of a Product" the version of the Internet Explorer browser installed on your computer will be specified.
