Instruction
1. Check whether there is on your computer an active connection to the Internet. If yes, means, at connection with network to your computer the IP address was automatically assigned. If you need to define your external IP address, open the browser and click on the following link: http://2ip.ru/whois/. In the displayed information the computer address will also be specified. At reconnection it can change depending on the provider of the Internet used by you. If dynamic IP (relevant was provided to you for the majority of cases of connections on Dial Up technology and at the selected Internet), then at repeated connection, most likely, your computer will have already other external IP. If your provider provides you the static (constant) address, then it will not change.
2. If you want to learn the IP address of other computer, use fayervoly both programs for message exchange and files for direct connection, for example, Skype or Miranda. Contact the owner of the computer which foreign address interests you. Start fayervol, previously having entered the program for message exchange in the list of its exceptions if earlier it was not provided by security settings on your computer.
3. Send to your interlocutor any file from your computer pay attention that from its party it is necessary to accept data, otherwise you will not see its IP address. After sending the file begins, open the program-fayervol and browse the sent information stream. In the same place the foreign address of the computer of the recipient will be specified.
4. If you do not want your external IP address to be learned by other Internet users, hide it by means of special programs or the websites anonymizers. They work by the principle of assignment to your computer of the address mask then it will be displayed as your external IP on the different websites or at direct connections.
