Proxy-servers use for implementation of client connection with certain resources. Most often they are applied to implementation of Internet access from local computers and to protection of network PCs against external threats.

Instruction
1. Setup of connection via the proxy-server can be carried out by means of special programs or by means of standard functions of the Windows operating system. When you need to configure connection via the proxy-server for a large number of programs, change global parameters of connection. Open the Start menu.
2. Select the Control panel item. Open the Network and Internet submenu and pass to the Internet Options point. After start of a new window select the Connections tab, select the used connection with the Internet and click "Setup". Find the Use the Proxy Server for This Connection point and install near it a tick.
3. Fill the Address and Port fields. If you need to register other addresses for connection to HTTP, FTP or Socks services, click "In addition" and fill the respective fields. Click several times Ok to save the set parameters.
4. If you want to configure a certain browser on access to proxy-servers, then change parameters of the necessary program. During the work with Mozilla FireFox open the menu of settings and select the Additional tab. Click "Configure", belonging to the Connection menu. Select the Manual Adjustment of Service of a Proxy parameter. Fill the necessary fields, having set parameters of proxy-servers for each type of connection.
5. For setup of the proxy-server in the Opera browser start this program and key Ctrl and F12. Wait for start of the menu of the main settings of the browser. Select the Expanded tab and select a submenu "Network". Click "Proxy servers". Fill out the offered table, having specified the necessary addresses of the proxy servers. Save parameters, having clicked Ok. Key F12 and in the menu of fast settings activate the Use Proxy Servers point.
