The game Counter Strike 1.6 received the popularity not only thanks to fascinating game process, but also because of an opportunity to independently organize it, making own settings and inviting any rivals. Practically everyone can create the server from scratch, it is enough make setup of the corresponding software only.

- - AmxModX;
- - dproto.
Instruction
1. Install the HLDS server going complete with a game. This program is the dedicated server for the games Half Life and Counter Strike. It is better to make its start on the separate computer. Load the hldsupdatetool utility from the Internet and install it in any convenient folder.
2. Start the hlds.exe executable file and wait for the end of a procedure of update of necessary files. After that start hlds again, select parameters, necessary for a game, and click the Start Server key.
3. For setup of a configuration it is necessary to edit the server.cfg file which is in the folder of the game cstrike. For this purpose click with the right mouse button the file and select the Open with the Help... item - "Notepad". Instead of the Notepad you can also use any other text editor.
4. In the line hostname you ukazhiit the name of the server, and in maxplayers - quantity of available slots for a game. In map the card with which a game begins is set. Sv_lan is responsible for inclusion or shutdown of the mode of the local server. Mp_autoteambalance is responsible for automatic balance of commands, mp_buytime – time for purchase of weapon, mp_freezetime – time of start of a round. After completion of all settings save the made changes.
5. For a possibility of a game on the server through clients of NoSteam enable addition of dproto, having downloaded it from the Internet. Having extracted the received file, throw off its contents in a game addons directory. Move the dproto.cfg file to the cstrike directory.
6. AmxModX is installed in the cstrike folder. Load archive of the AMX server from the Internet and unpack it. Move addons folder contents to the cstrike directory of a game, completely replacing all files.
7. Open the plugins.ini file in addons/metamod/directory by means of the Notepad or any other text editor. Add a line: win32 addons/amxmodx/dlls/amxmodx_mm.dllwin32 addons/dproto/dproto.dll
8. Create a label on hlds.exe. For this purpose click with the right mouse button the file - "Create a Label"). Turn into its properties (the right mouse button - "Properties"). In the field an object add the following parameters: - game cstrike +map of a nazvaniye_karta +maxplayers 20 +exec server.cfg - noipx +sv_lan 0 - specify by consoleposle of map value the name of the card on which you will play. Maxplayers is responsible for the maximum number of players on the server.
9. Move the created label on a desktop and use it for start of the server.
