Kat – from English "cuts" - the function of the blog allowing to hide the most part of the text of the message. As a result on the first page of the blog only headings and announcements of messages are displayed, and full texts are opened when clicking the links "Read Further" or similar. Each blogging platform uses a certain code to hide the text under kat.
Instruction
1. In LJ two types of cats are used. Tags of standard: <lj-cut> the hidden text </lj-cut> - instead of the cut-off text will be displayed an inscription: "Read more" in brackets. If you plan to squeeze other word, use tags: <lj-cut text= "" your text""> Hidden text </lj-cut>.
2. The message on a blogoservisa of Я.ру can be issued such tags: <cut> the Text under катом</cut>. In this case on the start page the word "More" will be displayed. If you want to use other word, expand tags to such combination: <cut text= "" the displayed text""> the Text under катом</cut>.
3. If you do not get on with the HTML language, it is possible to issue kat in Я.ру and through the visual editor. For this purpose select the corresponding type of the message, open the With Design mode. Select the option "Insert Insert". Select the text which you want to remove under kat, and click the Insert Insert command. In the field insert the text which will be displayed on the page of the announcement. Click the Look What Will Turn Out or Publish command.
4. In other services the principle of work with a cat is similar. If you do not manage to find or pick up HTML-codes to katu, to understand the visual editor incomparably easier. Use the functions having the corresponding names.
