Built in the Windows operating system fayervol often blocks the entering connections for uTorrent torrent client that does not allow to make downloading of the necessary files by means of the program. To unblock port, it is necessary to introduce the rule for the application closing access that it did not make closing of connection for uTorrent.
Instruction
1. For a start it is necessary to pass into uTorrent for check of blocking of incoming connections. Open a program window, having executed its start through a label on a desktop or the Start menu. If uTorrent is already started, expand its window from Windows tray which is located on the right on the Start-up bottom panel, having double-clicked on an application label.
2. In the appeared window pay attention to the bottom panel of the program. In the right lower part of a window the icon which shows the status of the current connection should be displayed. If this icon is displayed in the form of a tick, it means that ports are open and the impossibility of loading of any given file is not in connection, and in operability of the downloaded files or problems with the program. If an icon of yellow or red color, connection means it is blocked.
3. Click on an icon of connection and press the Test of Port button. If in the appeared window the report of You will not be able to receive incoming connections is given, means fayervol blocks the necessary port.
4. To correct it, turn into "Start-up" - "Control panel" - "A system and safety" - "Windows Firewall". In the left part of a window click on the link "Allow Start of the Program through a Firewall".
5. Check the appeared list of applications opposite to all points which include the word uTorrent, namely uTorrent TCP-In and uTorrent UDP-In. For application of changes click "Ok" and close "Control panel".
6. Restart uTorrent, having clicked the File menu - "Output" and having confirmed performing operation. Start the program again and repeat the test of connection. If opening of port worked well, you will see the corresponding message. If connection to network functions correctly, you will see a green icon in program notification area. Opening of uTorrent port is complete and you can start loading of the necessary files.
