Among widespread ADSL modems which are quickly configured there are exceptions, for example, Huawei SmartAX MT882 (MT880). In some applications of setup of this modem can not correspond recommended therefore for devices of this series it is necessary to open additional ports.

- - Huawei SmartAX MT882 adsl-modem.
Instruction
1. MT882 and MT880 are externally similar and often confuse them though ways of adding of ports on both devices has small distinctions. For connection with the modem and its setup it is necessary to use any browser. Start it and create a new tab or a window — click the File menu and select the New Tab item or click the image "+" in the tab bar.
2. Now in an address bar enter the following value 192.168.1.1. In the presence in network of the router or a marshrutirizator this address can be another, for example, 192.168.2.1. In the opened window enter the login and the password (by default admin). Then click "OK" or the ENTER key.
3. In the left part of the loaded window you will see the menu, click under the section Advanced, then on the Virtual Server point. In the right part of a window you will see a set of empty fields which need to be filled. To the Status element there should correspond the option Enable. It is necessary to specify any value (Latin letters) in the Name field, usually put the name of open port (icq, torrent, etc.).
4. It is necessary to specify the IP address of your network interface card in the Private IP field (by default 192.168.1.2. Put the option Both in the field of Protocol Type. The option Public Port is used for the Private Port field. For completion of setup of this part of the menu click Apply.
5. In the left part of a window pass to the section Tools and select the System Settings item. Click Save & Restart to execute saving changes with the subsequent reset.
6. For the Huawei SmartAX MT880 modem the login to the menu is carried out in the same way. But tuning of additional port is performed after clicking the Port Mapping Set button in the section NAT.
7. The port necessary for you needs to be exposed in the Start Port No and End Port No fields. All other fields are similar. Click Save. Then pass to the section Restart and select the Restart Router with switch, having left it in the provision Current Setting.
