As a rule, creation of the website and registration for it a domain name - one indissoluble process. But the situation when the domain is registered separately, and then there is a need it somehow to post online, or to tie to the existing website - too not a rarity.

1. If you already have a domain, but you are not ready to start own website yet, then it is possible to use the service called "parking" of the domain. Such option is both at hosting providers, and at loggers of domains. This mechanism thus operates - if someone gathers a name of the parked domain in an address bar of the browser, then the server of the company providing this service redirects it on the page or the website specified by you. It can be the advertizing page of a hoster or your own page, the space for which will be provided together with service of the parking. And it is possible to redirect on any your own or someone's else website existing in network (for example, placed on other, free hosting). In this case several options of a redirect are possible - with saving in an address bar of a name of the parked domain or full redirection to the new address. Together with this service you receive also the normal email address on the domain.
2. The procedure of the parking is not difficult - as a rule, you can issue it together with registration of the domain. If the domain name is registered in one place, and you make out service of the parking in another, then it is necessary to specify the addresses of DNS servers used by service of the parking in a place of registration of the domain.
3. If the website already is, and the parking is not required to you, and it is necessary to tie the existing website to its new domain name, then it will be the procedure from two components. A task the first is to inform DNS servers of the hosting company that at requests of your new domain of visitors it is necessary to send to your old website. For this purpose you should add a new domain name to panels of administration of the hosting company. Unfortunately, the uniform standard on the control panel of hosters does not exist therefore if you are not able independently to add the domain - contact technical support of your hosting company.
4. The problem of the second part of operation of a binding of the new domain to the old website is to let know to the logger of the domain that requests with the new address should be redirected on DNS servers of your hoster. You can learn the addresses of primary and secondary servers of the hosting in the information section of the website, in the control panel, in info letter about opening of the account or having just asked technical support. The addresses should be entered to the respective fields of the control panel of the domain of your logger. After it is made, the new domain will begin to function not later, than in three days. However in practice it usually occurs in 2-3 hours.
