In the presence of several computers connected to the general network quite often there is a need of access restriction to the Internet any of them. It is possible to make it by means of the special services which are built in Windows.
It is required to you
- - computer with Internet access;
- - rights of an admininstrator.
Instruction
1. At entry of the computer into structure of a working or public local area network you can limit access to its resources for other users. Pay attention that this method is not recommended to application if the network printer or other device with the general access is also connected to the computer. Also for restriction of network access from other computers you should have rights of the system administrator.
2. Perform tuning of a firewall Windows. Through the Start menu open the control panel of a system. On the System and Safety tab select the Windows Firewall item. Further pass to the Inclusion or Shutdown of a Firewall parameter. For each of available types of networks select checkboxes in the Inclusion of a Firewall point. Without execution of this step you will not be able to block access to network further.
3. Pass to "Network and Sharing Center". This point is in the Network and Internet service also available via the control panel. Select the option "Change Parameters of the General Access" where disable such parameters as network detection, the general access to printers and files, and include access to network under password protection. At activation of the last function, it will be possible to use network access on the computer only at the indication of the login and the password of the account.
4. Make sure that on the computer only one account is registered completely to limit access to all resources. In the presence of several registered profiles delete superfluous of them through Accounts of Users service in the control panel. Try to execute connection to this computer from any other PC which is a part of a local area network to check correctness of the performed protection tunings.
