Not all Internet resources are equally useful and safe, especially for children therefore the access ban - very necessary function which in certain cases should be used.
Instruction
1. To prohibit an input on any website, open the Start menu.
2. Select the Execute … item (Run …).
3. Enter this path into a directory: ""C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc"" (in windows 2000 ""C:\WINNT\System32\drivers\etc""). Click the ENTER key.
4. Find the hosts file in the opened folder. Open it any text editor, for example a notepad. You will open the document with hosts file "interiors".
5. Find a line necessary to you with IP in this file, for example, of 127.0.0.1 localhost. To prohibit access, for example, to the website of VKontakte, put the cursor at the end of the word localhost (or at the end of that line which at you the last) and clicks Enter.
6. Transfer the cursor to a new line and register the following: 127.0.0.1. Nazhimite on the Tab keyboard, at you should appear an indent more, than from a space. You write the website address without http and sleshev (/), approximately so - vkontakte.ru.
Write the following: 127.0.0.1 www.vkontakte.ru.
Or: 127.0.0.1 vk.com.
7. In the same way it is possible to treat also ""Schoolmates"". Do above and above the described points, you should receive it:
127.0.0.1 www.odnoklassniki.ru.
Digits at the left – the internal IP address of your computer, on the right — names of domains to which you want to block path.
8. That changes were applicable, save this file (click the File point, further click on ""Save"") and reboot. After that at request of the blocked website the browser will pass to other page (to give an error message about the access ban).
Thus, it will not be possible to connect to this website and the page will not be loaded. If the people knowing what is the hosts file sit in front of your computer it is possible just to put the password on the folder in which this file is stored.
9. In the Opera web browser it is possible to prohibit an input on the website in a different way. Select the Tools item which is the top part of the browser.
10. Select In the addition item from the offered list.
11. Select "The blocked contents" from the new list.
12. In the appeared window enter names of the websites to which you want to prohibit access.
