At the organization of computer networks or when using the computer in house conditions sometimes there is a need to block access to any given resources. This function can be carried out with the purpose to protect the net surfer or the computer from visit of any given website. For the ban of access means of a system can be used.
Instruction
1. The easiest way prohibit access to any given website – to edit the hosts file. It will be suitable for users of small or home networks and also when using one computer by several persons. Pass into a directory of a system disk of C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc.
2. Copy the hosts file which is in this folder in other directory or on a desktop. Open the copied document by means of "Notepad" or any other Windows text editor. For this purpose click with the right mouse button on hosts and select the Open in the Notepad item.
3. Add point of a view to the end of the file:
127.0.0.1 adres_sayt
In this request of "adres_sayt" – the address of that resource to which it is necessary to limit access. You can add any quantity of the websites. For this purpose enter each address in a separate line and before it add 127.0.0.1.
4. Load the saved file back into a directory, having confirmed replacement operation. Access to the specified websites will be closed, and in a window of the used browser the notification on unavailability of a resource will be issued.
5. Access to certain websites can be blocked by means of special anti-virus utilities and fayervol. Among these programs it is possible to note such popular anti-virus solutions as Comodo, Norton Inernet Security, Kaspersky, Nod32. Start or install the necessary program on your computer.
6. Find the section devoted to blocking of access to resources in a window of the selected utility. So, in Nod32 the blocking of the unnecessary websites is carried out through the Protection and Internet Access tab - "Management of the addresses" where you will be able to enter the address of a resource on which it is worth imposing a ban. In Kaspersky the section "Parental control" is responsible for it. In other antivirus software the blocking is carried out the same way.
