It is required to you
- - hosting with the PHP and MySQL support;
- - FTP client.
Instruction
1. If you already have a hosting with the obligatory PHP and MySQL support, then start downloading or purchase of the forum Invision Power Board engine it is desirable for the latest version. After that pass in the administrator center of your hosting and create in it new base MySQL (hostings can have a different interface, but an essence same), having entered necessary data: logins, passwords, name of base, etc.
2. After creation of the database, open any FTP client (Total Commander, for example) unite to its help with your hosting (all information on connection should be on it). After that open files of the IPB platform in the FTP client, find the upload folder and load its contents into the root directory of a hosting, but do it only if you want your forum to open at once, according to the direct reference. If your forum — addition to the main website, then rename the upload folder according to your desire and load it on a hosting.
3. After loading try to follow the link http://название_форума/install/index.php or http://ваш_сайт/upload/install/index.php (where upload — pereimenovaany you the folder with forum contents). If there were errors with CHMOD, then remember names of files and folders in which there was a fault, and open the FTP client. Find the necessary objects in it and set for them CHMOD 777 values (right-click on the necessary file and edit its properties).
4. After fault recovery follow the link http://название_форума/install/index.php again and follow instructions. At this stage prepare the data entered earlier during creation of MySQL base and at request enter them in the necessary forms. In the SQL Host field enter localhost. After creation of a forum come into it admincentre and take care of its safety, having replaced a name of the administrator and having turned off display of control center of a forum.
