How to put links

Digital Hits: 61

"Link" is the object which is indicating certain data, but not storing them. In other words, when you put the link, you literally "refer" to any source of information, a resource, yours, or third-party. Usually the website consists of a set of pages, their number can be various, from ten to tens of thousands. Somehow to structure information on the website, to make work with it convenient and to connect all pages in a single system, are necessary for link html. Today we will in detail consider process of establishment of the link HTML to the website.

Instruction

1. Place the code of the link on the HTML page. For this purpose use the tag. For the tag set href= "" parameter"" in which value specify the address of the website to which you want to refer.

2. After href= "" parameter"" specify the text for the link in the tag – that is, hide the link for any words or signs that she fitted into the text. For example, your code can look so:
Text of the link
The general code of the website can look thus:
Name of your website
Contents of your website. Heading
text links

3. To put the link to the HTML page of your website, on the place of the address of a third-party site specify the address of the page to which you want to refer. Remember that the page to which you refer should be in the same folder, as main (if you put the link on the homepage).

4. To make a reference to the page in the form of the picture (that is, for transition to it you will click not the text, but the image), put instead of html phrase the code of the picture in the tag around your picture.

5. If you want users to not just follow the links to any given page, and, clicking on them, to download any files (for example, audiofiles, the attached documents and so on), then instead of the address enter a file name in the tag. Remember that at the same time the downloaded file should be in the same folder, as the page with which you refer.
