Social networks became a favourite field of activity of creators of malicious software. The Trojan programs steal personal data of users, viruses block surfing on the Internet and direct visitors on doubles of the popular websites. From the infected computer spam with the invitation to come on an interesting resource or to admire photos is sent. The trustful user who used this invitation gets a virus on own hard drive.
Instruction
1. If in attempt to visit the website of VKontakte to you suggest to register again the account, having sent the SMS on the short number, know – you fell a victim spam virus. Open folder C: Also find WINNTsystem32driversetc the hosts file.
2. Double-click on it and in the appeared list select "Notepad". This text file should contain the comments of the developer noted by the sign of a grid “#” and a line 127.0.0.1 localhost. Delete the text which goes after this line – most likely, changes are made by a virus.
3. Delete all cookies and temporary files created by browsers. If you use IE, click the right key on its icon and select "Properties". In the General tab in the section "History of Viewing" click "Delete" and note the corresponding points.
4. In the Mozilla browser in the Tools menu select the option "Erase Recent History …" Open the Clean list and note "Everything". In the Details list put checkboxes near the points "Log of Visits", "Cookies", "Cache", "Active Sessions" and click "Clean now".
5. If you installed Opera, select "Settings" and "Delete personal data". Open the Detailed Setup list, note the necessary points and delete contents.
6. In "Control panel" click the Administration node and start the equipment of "Service". In the right part of the screen view the list of the started services. Stop those which have no relation to runtime of programs installed by a system or you. For this purpose open by click of the right key a drop-down menu and choose the Feet command.
7. Then in a drop-down menu select "Properties" and find the folder in which the program starting process lies in the section "Executable file". If the file seems to you suspicious, go online from other computer and find information on it by means of search engines. If there are bases to believe that it is a virus, delete the file.
8. Start the editor of the register. For this purpose a combination of Win+R cause the command line and enter regedit. In the Editing menu choose the Find command and enter a file name. Click "Find further." If the system finds a virus, delete the folder containing it.
9. If independently it was not succeeded to cope with a problem, download very useful AVZ4 utility and start it on your computer. Note disks which need check, and in the File menu select "Scanning". After completion of scanning in the same menu start the option "System recovery". Select checkboxes those processes which need correction.
