The Internet became the means of communication, a source of information and way of earnings for a long time. The users who are suddenly deprived of these benefits are inclined to panic though they, quite perhaps, will be able to cope with trouble by own efforts.
Instruction
1. If in a tray (lower right corner of the monitor) the red cross and the inscription "The Network Cable Is Not Connected" appeared, insert a wire into the connector of the network interface card on the back panel of the system unit more densely.
If in the same corner the red cross over two monitorchik, so at you a problem with the network interface card appeared. For a call of a context menu click the right mouse button on an icon "My computer", select options "Management" and "Device manager". Double click on the Network Connections icon. If in the list the image of your network adapter is crossed out by a red cross, you need to turn on the device. Open a context menu by click of the right mouse button and click the Involve command.
2. Through the Start menu come into "Control panel" and double click open "Network connections". For a call of a context menu click with the right key an icon of connection to the Internet. If in the top menu item there is an Include command, start it.
3. If in "Device manager" there is no Network Connections icon, perhaps, the operating system does not see your network adapter. Disconnect the computer from power supply, unscrew the pulling together screws and remove a side bar. Disconnect the network cable, unscrew the screw which fixes the network interface card in the slot, and remove it. Wipe with a normal eraser contacts and again insert into the slot densely, against the stop. Turn on the computer, insert a network cord into the adapter connector. Make sure that the icon of network connections is displayed in "Device manager".
4. Together with a contract copy your provider had to give you parameters of network connection. Reveal the Network Connections icon through the Start menu and "Control panel". Click the right mouse button for a call of a context menu on an icon of your connection to the Internet and choose the Properties command. In a properties window note the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) point and click "Properties". Make sure that IP and DNS values are entered truly.
5. Disconnect your modem from power and include it later a couple of minutes. Start any browser and in an address bar gather 192.168.1.1 to enter the menu of settings of the modem. In the field of Login and Password enter Admin. Find menu items in which are defined connection type (PPPoE or Bridge) and the VPI/VCI parameters. Expose values which were defined by provider. Save changes.
6. If Internet connection is enabled, however you cannot visit one website, try to use other browser. If did not help, disconnect firewall and a firewall of Windows – it is possible, these utilities block connections. In case of failure there are all bases to suspect harmful activity of viruses or trojans. Start virus checking. After treatment of the computer try to go once again on-line. If the attempt was not successful again, time to ask for the help in technical support came.
