How to restore an image of ISO

Over time any disk which is actively used stops being readable. For extension of life of CD/DVD-of disks programs for creation of their images (exact copies) are used. Sometimes it happens so, as disk images can badly be read, in this case it is recommended to use special programs for recovery of their activity.

  • Software of Dvdisaster.

Instruction

1. For recovery of disk images use the Dvdisaster program. It allows to restore completely work of the spoiled images if it is possible. The utility it is possible to download http://dvdisaster.net/ru/download.html at the following link. This software is absolutely free and has the open code, besides it works with many modern operating systems.

2. After its installation and start it is necessary to pass to a settings window which call key is in the upper right corner. Pass to the Image tab. For correction of errors of reading during creation of an image select the ISO/UDF item in the section "Size of an Image", in other cases it is worth selecting ECC/RS02. In the section "Creation of an Image" select the Adaptive (for the Damaged Media) item.

3. Pass to the Drive tab. In this tab optimal adjustments are installed, but in the section "Preparation of the Drive" the value of the option "Waiting" can be changed with 5.

4. Pass to the Reading Attempts tab. Here activate the option "Reading and Analysis of the Raw Sectors", moving the slider of the last parameter, expose value = 128.

5. Pass to the Files tab. If you use operating systems which system section belongs to FAT32 file system, activate the option "Break Files into Segments" in the section "Local Files". After setup of all parameters, insert a disk which image needs to be restored, and wait for its full untwisting in the drive.

6. In a main window of the program select the drive with which work will be performed, having clicked a triangle near the picture of a disk. For start of read operation of a disk click "Read". If there are enough data for recovery of an image, on the screen the corresponding inscription will appear, as a rule, sector mapping of a disk should be completely green color.

7. At emergence of red sectors and an inscription which warns about a lack of green sectors the recovery cannot be made, i.e. recovery of an image requires additional information, for example, the original of a disk unreadable completely. For completion of operation click "Correct".

8. After completion of recovery the new image needs to be copied in other directory and/or to write on a blank disk.
