At reinstallation of the operating system or removal of the browser it is possible to save the made settings subsequently to apply them in already new program, thereby having reduced time spent on subsequent change of parameters. Saving the Firefox settings is made through Sync plug-in.
Instruction
1. Sync – expansion for the browser from Mozilla. It allows not only to save certain parameters of the browser, but also to use remote access for work with the program on several computers. For example, you can use the same tabs in the browser at office and at home. Even if you will change the computer, settings will not get off and will be able to be restored at any time.
2. In new versions of the browser the Sync extension is already built-in and it is not necessary to make its installation. For start of a plug-in open the observer and click in the upper left corner Firefox icon, and then select the Configure Sync item.
3. In the appeared window the setup wizard will suggest to configure plug-in parameters. Press the Create the Account button. On the following page enter the e-mail address, the login and the password which will be used for an information access. Click "Further".
4. Think up a confidential phrase which is required for data recovery and settings of the browser in case of access loss. Enter the words presented on the picture for registration confirmation.
5. Log in to service. For this purpose again pass into the Configure Sync point and press the I Have an Account button. Now all your settings, bookmarks, the entered passwords and other data are saved on the special server and can be used both at recovery of the browser after installation, and when using the program on other computer.
6. Firefox Sync also has additional parameters. So, the Replace Or Integrate Data of Sync point will allow to synchronize data between several computers or mobile devices. "Combination of data of this computer" will allow to open already started tabs on one computer in the system of another. If you select the Replace All Data on This Computer with Data of Your Sync item, you will be able to restore the necessary open tabs and settings after reinstallation of a system.
