Google Reader was popular service for management of RSS subscriptions. The resource allowed to receive newsletters and to display them on the computer screen in a convenient form. The developing NewsBlur resource which also has a number of own features can become full replacement of Google Reader. For use of service it is necessary to register own account free of charge or to pay the sum of money for additional opportunities.
In the free version of the website the user is given an opportunity to receive mailing from 64 RSS sources. NewsBlur is able to display records as in the form of the text, the list or with use of stylesheets. The functionality of controls is similar to Google Rider, however some users note congestion of the interface of service by excess elements. The website allows to configure the font size, shortcuts for a call of certain sources.
Also there is mobile version of NewsBlur for Android and iOS.
The Feedly.com resource is also the tool for reading RSS tapes with advanced functionality. Among advantages of a resource it is possible to note the convenient and high-speed interface which allows to progruzhat the necessary tapes quickly. After adding of the OPML file (the list of RSS tapes and channels) or manual activation of the channel, necessary for reading, the user gets access to a management system of subscriptions.
The functionality allows to organize the directory of tapes according to a heading and type of a subscription. Usability adds lack of advertizing on pages. If necessary it is possible to publish the most interesting records in most social networks. The resource supports reading the laid materials, export of bookmarks to Evernote and Instapaper, creation of tags and removal of news from the list to more convenient viewing. Also Feedly has a set of themes and different visual settings.
Nevertheless in functionality the search by tapes is not implemented that for some users can become a shortcoming.
The Old Reader
Service for reading the RSS films The Old Reader possesses the interface, similar to Google Reader, and allows the user to work in full with the selected channels. The Old Reader can be used both for a fee, and is free. The free version supports reading about 100 sources which should be enough for the average user. The additional paid package allows to activate support of 500 subscriptions from the increased time of their saving to 6 months.
The resource supports import of settings in the OPML format and also gives the chance to export signing up in Facebook and Google+. The application has pleasant themes, and on functionality the service can be compared to Google Reader. To start use of The Old Reader it is also necessary to undergo registration procedure.
