Development and debugging of any website — quite difficult occupation which requires time and, actually, access to the website. Not all are able to afford to rent a hosting and a domain name for experiments on creation of an Internet resource. But there is a special program which will help you to start the website on the computer.
Instruction
1. Download the Denwer utility. For this purpose open any browser, pass to the page of the project to the address http://www.denwer.ru/. On the homepage of the website the reference to constantly updated distribution kit of a program set is placed. All necessary components for development of websites and applications enter it. Basic set turns on the Apache server, the MySQL support for work with databases. And also PHP which is necessary for installation and work of many content management systems of the website.
2. You can easily expand possibilities of standard set. For this purpose download and install additional modules necessary to you from the website of the developer. At the same time all project free and very functional.
3. Start the downloaded Denwer distribution kit. It can be done through a context menu the right mouse button or just double click on the file. You will see a window of the console of installation and the message from the master in installation of the program. Select a disk and the folder for the program and also specify whether it is necessary to create labels on a desktop. It is the best of all to agree with those parameters which are offered by default.
4. At installation the program will suggest to create a virtual disk for operation of the server. Agree with this offer and assign any free Latin letter for a "additional" disk. Actually this virtual disk will be limited to the size of that section on which you installed Denwer. You on a desktop will have three labels: Run Denwer, Stop and Restart. They are necessary for start, a stop and restart of the Web server. Pay attention that installation should take place from the account with full authority, that is "Computer administrator".
5. Start the virtual Denwer Web server. Click on the Run Denwer icon and wait until black-and-white windows of the system console report about successful start of all services. Later check whether the Web server and its components was successfully installed. Open any browser and gather in an address bar 127.0.0.1 or localhost. In both cases you will see the page of a greeting from developers and help data on use of this set of programs.
6. Copy the folder with the website created by you in the directory of the Denwer installation, in directory/home. For example, path of installation of Denver such: C:Webservers. Open this folder and find the home directory in which there has to be your website. The correct structure of directories shall be observed, otherwise you will not be able to activate the website on the computer. If everything is made correctly, it is possible to start the last action.
7. Gather in an address bar of the browser a name of your website, according to the name of the folder in home directory. If you created only one page, completely enter the name of "website" and the name of the page.
