At all obvious advantages the USB modems quite often create problems to the owners. So, in case of malfunctions the telecom operators sometimes recommend to reinstall the network equipment completely. Sometimes, that it is necessary to make this procedure to several dozen times a year. Modems from Beeline in this regard – not an exception.
Instruction
1. Connect the modem with a sim card to the computer or the laptop. Wait until the computer finds the equipment and network.
2. Or in "My computer" find "Control panel" in the Start menu and select the section "Installation and Removal of Programs". Find to the monk of your modem and click "Delete".
3. On demand systems confirm the choice of removal of the software for the modem, having clicked OK in a request window. The window reflecting process of removal of hardware drivers of a system will appear.
4. Wait for the full end of removal of the modem. Do not disconnect it from the computer, do not make sure yet that the procedure is complete. The operating system will prompt to you when it occurs. Now it will be possible to install the modem again.
5. For this purpose disconnect the modem from USB port, take out a sim card and again connect the device to the computer. It will be revealed a system automatically, and installation process of its software will begin. You need to select an interface language only.
6. When the system installs all necessary drivers and applications, she will prompt to you that in the modem there is no sim card. Install it into place and again connect the modem to port. In most cases the malfunction which demanded reinstallation of the modem will be eliminated.
7. If in the course of removal of the modem something went wrong – there was a failure in a system, the computer was powered off, you disconnected the modem, without having waited for full removal of software, - it will be more difficult to resume the procedure. Most likely, the device label in the section "Installation and Removal of Programs" will not be any more, and the system will not be able to delete the modem automatically. Then you should delete the remained equipment components manually.
8. For this purpose click with the right mouse button on an icon "My computer" and in a context menu select the Properties item. In the opened Properties of a System window select the Equipment tab and click "Device manager".
9. In a window of "Device manager" expand the list of the equipment "Controllers of the Universal Serial Bus USB". Select from the list item with the name of the controller of your modem, for example, of Globe Trotter HSxPA. Having opened a context menu with the right mouse button, or by means of the toolbar button delete the specified device.
10. Further in the same window expand the Net boards point and find the net board of your modem. In this example it will be called Globe Trotter HSxPA – Network Interface. Delete it by analogy with the previous step. Click "Update an Equipment Configuration" on a top panel of tools.
11. Check lists of the bus control units USB and net boards. The equipment with the name of your modem in them should not be. If on a desktop or in a tray there were modem labels, disconnect it from USB port and reboot. System configuration will be updated, and all mentions of the modem from it will disappear. Now it is possible to install the modem in the usual way.
