3. Double-click on the My Computer icon. Select a disk C and click Enter. Open the Program Files folder. Full address of folder C: Program FilesICQ6 (or version of ICQ 7, etc.).
4. You need to find the MBContainer.dll file in the list of file and folders. This file is responsible for any advertizing. Delete this file, having clicked the keyboard shortcut Shift + Delete.
5. Start the ICQ program. At the moment advertizing in the program will not be. If you leave the program again and will come into it, advertizing will appear again. It is connected with the fact that ICQ developers provided a possibility of removal of the advertizing file. Therefore the program, at next run, without having found this file (MBContainer.dll), downloads it online.
6. Again leave the program. On the above-stated path find the MBContainer.dll file and again delete it. Prohibit all rights for the subdirectory Updates located in the main folder of the program.
7. Right-click on the Updates folder. From a context menu select the Properties item, in the opened window go to the third Safety tab. In the section "Groups or Users" select the System item. Put the pointer in the Prohibit point opposite to the Full access point. Then click "Apply". Thus, you prohibit access to folders and subfolders of the Updates directory of the ICQ program.
