If you want to use directly server resources, then it is necessary to configure the terminal mode previously. Also this mode allows to manage the server online that considerably reduces traffic. For setup it is necessary to perform several simple operations.
Instruction
1. Turn on your server. Pass "Start-up" into the main menu and open the section "Control panel". Start a label "Server management", select the Add a New Role item and install to it a server role of terminals. After that the operating system will ask to reboot. Click "Ok" and wait for full start.
2. Install the server of terminal licenses. It needs to be made in order that the server allowed to execute multiple terminal connections. Connect the computer to the Internet and carry out the procedure of licensing. For this purpose come into the section "Control panel" and select the Licensing of the Server of Terminals item in the Administration menu. After that proceed the indication of the activation wizard. At the same time it is required to enter the personal and contact information.
3. Start the Client Access License Wizard utility after complete activation. Specify type of the license and the number of users of your terminal server in the opened window. If to select the Per Device type, then only the certain number of computers can be connected to the server and if to install the Per User type, then restriction is set on the number of users.
4. Configure the terminal mode for access online. For this purpose open settings of the router and allow connection to the server on port 3389. Specify also that requests of this port should be redirected on an internal terminal server. If you use the proxy server, then configure it so that data exchange happened through port 3389.
5. Start the Terminal Server Manager equipment and pass into the section of properties of permissions. Specify the list of users or their groups who can use server resources in the terminal mode. Save settings and reboot the operating system.
