Quite often users of the personal computer meet such concept as the beta, but not each of them understands, what is it actually.
What is the beta?
The beta as it is possible to guess, is not the final version of any software or a web resource. It is necessary to understand the procedure of testing of any software, or the website as the beta. Usually beta testing is carried out when programmers created the main functional part of some game or the website and checked it for existence of errors. It is natural that programmers and developers can make a mistake and, of course, independently it is thoroughly impossible to check everything for one simple reason - on it too much time will leave. For this reason beta testing was created.
Why beta testing is necessary?
During the beta test the regular users are given the chance in participation. Usually it is or closed, or open. If beta testing is open, everyone can participate in this process. If the beta testing closed then only those people who satisfied some certain condition can take part in check. Besides, beta testing can be limited by the number of participants.
As it was told above, the most part of functionality it is already implemented in the beta. Users need only to check the program or the website for existence of defects or errors. In the majority, such version of a product appears just before release of a final product. The beta passes the whole cycle of internal testing which as a result can show stability of work of some website or the program. During it users are given an opportunity to write about the found errors and defects to developers. Besides, in the same letter they can leave the wishes.
If the beta of any software is started, then usually together with the program the special text file in which the list of all changes, in comparison with the previous version of a product, the description of the problems and errors, known at the time of emergence of the beta, which should be corrected with a release of the final version is specified is delivered. As for directly any website, this procedure practically does not differ - the user can also leave the messages to administrators or developers with the indication of different requirements and wishes.
