The name "nickname" comes from the English nickname – an alias. The alias is used by actors, writers, composers and other attendants of show business, but in a context "nickname" the alias is used usually on the Internet: on social networks, blogs, at forums, in online games, etc.
Think up the original and memorable nickname which anybody does not have any more is a paramount task of any frequenter of forums and chats.
For what the nickname is necessary
Before thinking out a nickname, be defined for what it is necessary to you. There are different reasons for creation of a nickname – a game, acquaintances, chats, social networks, etc. In each of these spheres the original and memorable alias is necessary. If you use a nonunique nickname, there can be a funny thing: someone will mix you with other user or you will meet the person who has the same nickname.
On some websites it is impossible to register under that nickname which is already used. In this case several options of the name complemented with digits will be offered to you at choice. The nickname first of all should correspond to that activity for which you create it. Ways to think up a nickname
The simplest nickname which is capable to intrigue the interlocutor – single letters. Letters only several dozen, and people – several millions and on some websites exist restriction on alias length. But nobody prohibits to use characters. Single letters, for example, And, repeating several times, alternating characters, will be actually unique nickname: AAAA, A.A., A@A, etc.
The second easy way think up a nickname – to use shifters, i.e. the words read on the contrary. If your name not a palindrome, then you can invert it, for example, Roman – nomar. If sounding is not pleasant, add an article, couple of letters or just rearrange letters – al nomar, normar, moran.
Very effective nickname will turn out if to favourite action to add the termination – er, i.e. create a verbal noun - Gamer (player), Skater (reader), etc.
Word-play – a good way to think up an alias. The essence of this way is in replacing in a word an element in consonance with digit or a character. For example, Branch – We., Jolly-boat – 2zik.
If above-mentioned ways do not approach, contact mythology. Ancient Greek, Ancient Egyptian, Scandinavian, Slavic and other cultures are filled with sonorous names which can become an excellent alias.
Well and, at last, the most normal way – use that nickname which friends gave you if it not absolutely normal, or slightly alter it, having applied one of ways known to you.
