The HTML-code is a program code which defines how elements (the text, pictures, video, etc.) on the Internet page will be located. The HTML language is quite simple in understanding, however it is constantly improved and complemented with new opportunities.
What is the HTML-code?
The abbreviation of HTML is decrypted and translated as "hypertext markup language". The hypertext is the ad hoc method of navigation according to Internet pages implemented in the form of hypertext links. Clicking according to these links, you can move about ease on structure of the website. Transitions at the same time happen not linearly, i.e. you always have an opportunity to pass to any page of the website, the link to which is visible at present.
The marking is understood as some rules and properties which allocated page elements. They are implemented in the form of so-called tags. For example, to specify that a certain text on the page should be located on its center, it can be marked by means of the tag of Center. It is possible to see the HTML-code of the specific page through its context menu. For example, for access to this code in the Firefox browser it is necessary to click the right button within the page and to select the Source Code of the Page item.
How does the HTML-code work?
The HTML-code represents a set of short tags, with the page elements which are contained in them. All this code is stored in the file with the .html or .htm extension. When opening such file in the browser the code is interpreted by it, and in a window of the program the page in finished form is issued. Knowing HTML markup language, practically any person can create own page.
What tags happen?
Tags represent separate designs in the HTML-code. It is the literal text the prisoner in angle brackets "". You can see tags in the HTML-code practically of any page. Tags in itself on pages are not displayed, the specific element which is coded by means of tags is brought to them. For example, if at the page there is a picture, its HTML the code means comprises the img tag.
Restrictions of HTML
In spite of the fact that HTML the code allows to construct quite qualitative hypertext page, it has the restrictions. The pages containing only such code are static, i.e. in them there is no dynamics, special effects and other opportunities. But they can be introduced by means of other languages, for example by Java Script. The vast majority of the modern websites are created with use of additional languages which do them more alive and interactive.
