Skype – one of the most popular programs for communication on the Internet. Skype gives to users the chance to exchange text messages and to carry out calls. However most of users use not all possibilities of this program. There are several secrets of Skype which can make work with it of more comfortable.
Show the screen
If you want to explain to the interlocutor the principle of work with any program, to show it photos on the desktop or important information, use function of demonstration of the screen. For this purpose make a video call and begin a conversation, click "+" on a task bar of the program and select the Show All Screen item.
This function is available free of charge to all users of Skype in the video call mode.
Share contacts
If you want to send one or several contacts to the friend, there is no need every time to enter ID numbers of these contacts. Begin text communication with the interlocutor and just drag in a window of input of the message contact from the list. In the same way it is possible to send the whole contact block.
Edit the last message
One more counter of the program is the possibility of fast editing messages. If you noticed a typo in the message which was just sent, press up arrow on the keyboard. The message will be editable again. For editing the old message (which is not the last at the moment), right-click on it and select the Edit the Message item.
In the same way it is possible to delete the sent message, for this purpose specify the Delete point in a drop-down menu.
Increase font size
Most often standard settings of a font of the Skype program are sufficient for comfortable work. However if you want to change it (for example, you have a poor eyesight), it is possible to use the corresponding settings. By default Skype uses the Tahoma font size 8pt. For its change pass into a menu item "Tools"-> "Settings"-> "Chats and SMS"-> "Visual design of a chat". In the appeared window click "Change a Font" and make changes necessary for you.
Confidential smilies
In a message box of Skype there is a standard set of smilies which are applied most often. However in the program it is possible to use also a set of other smilies which input requires writing of special codes.
Clean history
For convenience of work "Skype" conducts the history of correspondence with all your contacts. If you do not want someone to read your messages on the computer, this story can be deleted. For this purpose pass into a menu item "Tools"-> "Settings"-> "Safety"-> "Security settings". In the opened window select the period for which you want to delete history and click "Clean History".
