The Internet surfing even for experienced users is full of dangers and surprises in the form of various malicious applications. Not the last place among them is taken by the viruses extortioners blocking Internet connection and demanding from the owner of the infected computer of transfer of money for a certain account.
These programs change contents of the hosts file and register the addresses of third-party DNS servers in properties of the internet protocol. If in attempt to come on any website you see the message on the screen: "Access to the Internet is blocked. For an unblocking enter the phone number and follow instructions in SMS" or something similar, start full check of the computer the antivirus software.
Open the C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\ и щелкните правой кнопкой мыши (ПКМ) по файлу hosts folder. In a drop-down menu click "Open" the left button and find in the list of the Notepad programs. The main part of contents of the file is occupied by the comments noted by the # icon. A significant part for Windows XP should look so:
127.0.0.1 localhost
If, except it, there are still any records which are not noted as comments, delete them and save the file.
For versions of Windows 7 is also more senior:
# localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself. # 127.0.0.1 localhost # :: 1 localhost
To edit this file, click PKM in the lower right corner of the screen and click the left button the Command Line (Administrator) point. In the opened window enter the С:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts command
also delete excess lines.
Click PKM on an icon of network on the Desktop or in a tray (screen lower right corner). If you installed Windows XP, click the left button the Properties point, then click PKM the Connection on a Local Area Network icon. Again select "Properties" and in a new window click "The internet protocol (TCP/IP)". Click "Properties" and specify in a new window "Receive the DNS server address automatically". Click OK.
For versions of Windows 7 and select "Network and Sharing Center" above, then click on the link in the right part of a window. It can be called differently: "Connection on a local area network", "Wireless connection" or somehow still. In a new window click "Properties" and select in the Internet Protocol of Version 4 list. Again click "Properties" and specify "Receive the DNS server address automatically". Confirm OK.
Be attentive when downloading files from unfamiliar resources. If when downloading music, the book or movie you found the executable file (extension .exe, .com) or an installer, then with high probability you loaded a virus on the computer. Do not try to start it better.
