Drying of carrots: 2 easy ways

There are several ways of drying of carrots. In the dried-up look it can be stored long in the dark place in the closed ware and to add to first courses, sauces, seasonings.

For drying we choose fruits of bright orange color with a thin core.

1. After removal of tails and the top part the root crops are washed thoroughly, blanched in the added some salt boiled water of 10-15 minutes, cooled cold water, cut circles 3-4 mm thick or straws, stacked on a sieve and dried in an oven at a temperature of 75-80 degrees of 5-6 hours. At the end of drying it is necessary to lower temperature to 60-65 degrees.

2. Carefully washed up vegetables slice or cut thin circles, stack on a sieve, overhear some time on air, and then place in the oven heated to 70-75 degrees, and the door has to be slightly opened at the beginning. Drying duration: 5-6 hours. Successful preparations!
