So, to cook oranges compote for 6-8 portions, prepare the following ingredients:

- 2.5 kg of juicy oranges; - 900 g of sugar; - 4.5 l of water; - 200 g of honey.

Remove from oranges a dried peel by means of a sharp knife. Place it in separate ware. After that peel oranges from a membrane, fibers and a layer of a white thin skin. Cut fruits in the way convenient to you. Fill in 4.5 l of water in a big pan and bring it to the boil. Having added sugar, stir slowly that it was completely dissolved. When the sugar syrup is ready, add an orange dried peel to a pan and you cook about 15 more minutes. Filter hot syrup in separate ware through a sieve. On the clean sterilized banks spread out the cleaned fruits of oranges and fill in with hot syrup. The welded dried peel should be thrown out. When oranges with syrup infuse under the covered cover about 15 minutes, merge syrup back in a pan. Put it on average fire approximately for 10 minutes (considering from the boiling moment). Later this time add 200 g of honey to a pan. You boil within 5 more minutes, without forgetting to stir slowly that it was entirely dissolved. Then remove a pan from a plate. Repeatedly fill in fruits with hot syrup. Roll up. Turn the rolled-up banks, cover them with a warm blanket and leave to stand for day.

Recipe of compote from oranges and lemons

For preparation of compote from oranges and lemons take: - 3 oranges; - 2 lemons; - 1.5-2 l of water; - 5-8 tablespoons of sugar. Drench the peeled oranges and lemons with boiled water and carefully wash them with cold water. Cut these fruit semi-circles or circles. Remove stones and lay out the cut segments in a pan. Fill up them with sugar and you remember a little. Turn and again you remember a little, without breaking at the same time integrity of orange slices. Wait until water begins to boil, during this time slices of oranges will start up juice. Pour water in a pan with segments and accurately stir until sugar completely is dissolved.
