Preparation it demands some patience, but the result is worth it.

    • cherry leaves;
    • walnut;
    • sugar;
    • water;
    • fridge;
    • ware for cooking;
    • sharp knife or scalpel;
    • banks and covers;
    • the machine for rolling.

Instruction

1. Calculate quantity of products. On 5 glasses of selected berries of a gooseberry 2 handfuls of cherry leaves, 3 glasses of water and 7 glasses of granulated sugar are necessary and also it is a little walnuts. Peel nuts and crush. From total number of cherry leaves lay off ten, they will be necessary a bit later.

2. Prepare berries. For such jam it is necessary to select large and strong which on will be crumpled if to puncture them. Wash up a gooseberry. Destem. Having made on each berry a longitudinal cut a sharp knife, pull out from it seeds and insert walnut pieces.

3. Make broth of cherry leaves. Pour into the enameled pan 3 glasses water and lower purely washed up cherry leaves there. Put a pan on average fire and bring water to the boil then at once remove broth. Broth has to be green color. Let's it cool down to room temperature and put a pan in the fridge for the night.

4. Prepare syrup. On 2 glasses of broth take 7 glasses of sugar, mix and bring to the boil. Pour the prepared berries of a gooseberry into the boiling syrup and boil thoroughly within 12 minutes. Lower some more cherry leaves in syrup and you cook a minutes more 2-3.

5. Sterilize banks and covers. Before filling in there jam, drench banks with boiled water. Fill in jam hot and at once roll up banks.
