Blackcurrant is very useful berry, it contains more vitamin C and potassium, than in a citrus and bananas. Currant is quickly acquired, improves digestion and accelerates a metabolism. Besides, this berry doesn't lose the health giving qualities when freezing or heat treatment therefore is ideal for house preparations for the winter.

Blackcurrant and apples jam

Apple and currant jam can be used as an independent dessert to tea or to use as a stuffing for pies, cakes and cookies. Grades of apples should be chosen proceeding from own flavoring preferences: soft or firm, sour or sweet.

Necessary ingredients:

  • 2 kg of blackcurrant;
  • 5 kg of apples;
  • 2 kg of sugar;
  • 500 g of water.

Preparation:

We touch blackcurrant and we wash a baking plate with flowing water. We wash apples, we clean from a skin and sunflower seeds then we cut them small segments. Then we start syrup preparation. For this purpose we part sugar in water, we place mix on slow fire and we cook until thick. In the boiling syrup we lower berries and we cook them until they don't burst, without forgetting to stir slowly and remove the formed skin at the same time. Then we add the cut apples to berries and we cook mix until thick. We pack ready blackcurrant and apples jam on clean banks and we close covers.

Blackcurrant and raspberry jam

This dessert can be prepared differently: if to use more raspberry, jam will have a pronounced sweet taste if to add more currant, jam, on the contrary, will turn out sourer.

Necessary ingredients:

  • 1 kg of currant;
  • 2 kg of raspberry;
  • 5 kg of sugar.

Preparation:

We touch berries of currant, removing leaves and branches then we throw back on a colander and we wash a baking plate with flowing water. We touch raspberry, but we don't wash that berries didn't lose the structure. We place raspberry in the enameled pan, we fill up it with a half of granulated sugar, from above we spread blackcurrant and we cover with the sugar rest. We leave berries in such look at several o'clock that they started up juice. Then we put a pan on a plate, we bring mix to the boil and we cook it 10 more minutes on slow fire. We display a ready berry dessert on banks and we roll up.

Blackcurrant and nuts jam

It is possible to add any nuts to blackcurrant jam, they will impact to delicacy more refined and original relish.

Necessary ingredients:

  • 5 kg of currant;
  • 5 kg of sugar;
  • 450 g of nuts;
  • 600 g of water.

Preparation:

We pour out sugar in the enameled capacity, we fill in it with the specified amount of water and we cook on slow fire until thick. We place the currant which is previously washed up and peeled from branches and leaves in the boiling syrup and we boil 5-6 minutes. We remove a pan from fire and we leave berries for the night. We cook currant again within 5-6 minutes in the morning and we leave at several o'clock. We peel nuts, we fry in a frying pan and we crush by means of the blender. We repeat the procedure of cooking last time, having added the crushed nuts to a pan. Ready currant and nuts jam can be served to a table at once or to pour on banks and to remove on storage.
