To cook red currant compote, sort the reaped crop. Berries for compote have to be mature, intact. Separate them from stalks. It is made or manually, or for acceleration of process with use of a fork of stainless steel.

Wash out the selected red currant in a colander, place in a pan, fill in with cold water and put on fire. The ratio the mass of berries/mass of water depends on that how concentrated compote you want to cook. Bring to the boil, pour granulated sugar into a pan, mix. Here too be guided by the taste: someone loves sweet compote, someone – less sweet. Let's boil 5 minutes, switch off fire. Currant compote is ready.
