How to make home-made fruit jelly

Fruit jelly basis – gelatin (or agar-agar) and juice. But you shouldn't stop on these ingredients, you can improvise to the taste, for example, to use hibiscus tea or broth of berries.

Basic recipe of home-made fruit jelly:

  • 300 ml of juice (freshly squeezed);
  • 4 tablespoons of gelatin;
  • honey or sweetener to taste;
  • spicery (cinnamon, vanilla, ginger and others – to taste).

Mix juice with honey, add gelatin and let's it bulk up. Then heat mix on slow fire at constant stirring and add some spice. Not to bring to the boil. When gelatin completely is dissolved – cool a little and pour in the prepared forms. Leave ready fruit jelly for the night in the fridge to stiffen. Take out from forms, roll in in sugar, icing sugar or coconut flakes, and if necessary – cut on smaller pieces.

Original fruit jelly with chia seeds

Chia seeds are fashionable now if it is possible to tell it about products. Considering their original features, it is possible to add them to home-made fruit jelly. When soaking the seeds of a chia become covered by a jellylike cover that too suit us – it will improve structure of delicacy.
