How to make sour watermelon not for the winter

At the end of summer the time of maturing of such big and long-awaited berry – watermelon comes. Sometimes bothers to eat it fresh. Therefore it is possible to make original snack from fermented watermelon.

It is required to you

  • - watermelon (about 8 kg);
  • - garlic 2 cloves;
  • - allspice of 10 peas;
  • - back of horse-radish of 5 cm;
  • - 1 bunch of greens (parsley, fennel).
  • For a brine:
  • - water 1 liter;
  • - salt 1 tablespoon with the hill;
  • - sugar 1 tablespoon with the hill.

Instruction

1. For a brine to mix all ingredients and to boil.

2. Cut watermelon small, but not thin slices. Approximately 2 centimeters wide and on the 10th length.

3. To lay a part of the cut greens, garlic, a half of peas of pepper, a horse-radish piece, watermelon on a bottom of a pan. Alternate layers until all ingredients come to an end.

4. Fill in all this with a sharp brine, cover with a plate and put from above cargo. A brine it is necessary to do more. Three waters will go to this recipe liter, respectively, other ingredients for a brine need to be increased too. All watermelons have to be completely covered with it. You shouldn't be afraid, watermelon won't take excess salt or sugar.

5. At the room temperature to hold 2 days. Then to shift in the fridge for three-four days.
