Moonshine is the alcoholic drink produced in house conditions by distillation of alcoholic weight which, in turn, appears thanks to process of fermentation of sugar, beet or other products containing a large amount of starch. Cleaning of moonshine of fusel oils – one of the most important stages of distillation as without it there is a probability of poisoning with low-quality alcohol.
There are several options of cleaning of moonshine of fusel oils. The most widespread of them – by means of potassium permanganate. For cleaning by means of potassium permanganate, it is necessary to take only several grains of this substance (to be exact 2 g on 1 liter) and to add them in bank with moonshine. It is necessary to stir and leave liquid to settle for several days. After that at the bottom of banks the black deposit will appear. It is necessary to merge accurately moonshine, having filtered it through vatu. It is necessary to remember that potassium permanganate can't remove all fusel oils therefore, after its application, it is necessary to use the second way.
The second method consists in filtering of moonshine via the self-made or factory coal filter. The easiest to use the filter bought in shop. Through it it is necessary to filter all liquid. It is possible to manufacture the device for cleaning independently. For this purpose it is necessary to take a funnel. On its bottom it is necessary to lay the bandage put in several words, and from above – the crushed activated carbon at the rate of 2-3 tablets on liter, or charcoal at the rate of 50 g on liter. Through the turned-out filter it is necessary to filter all moonshine. Besides, it is possible just to throw the specified amount of coal into capacity with a self-race, and in 3-4 days to pour it, having thrown out the turned-out deposit.
One more way of cleaning of moonshine of fusel oils – by means of whole milk. On one liter of home brew about 200 g of this product are necessary. Right after mixture, muddy liquid, however will turn out then it will settle, and on a bottom white lumps will drop out. It is necessary to merge accurately moonshine and to get rid of an unnecessary deposit. Having taken the advice given above, it is possible to increase considerably quality of moonshine, having got rid of fusel oils. After these procedures it is possible to start insisting of alcoholic drink.
