How to prepare a quince with lentil

The quince is the fruit resembling mix of apple and pear superficially, but differing from them in an astringent and viscous flavor. The quince is very useful, but fresh to eat much it won't turn out therefore it is better to use this fruit for preparation of various dishes.

It is required to you

  • - a quince – 3 fruits of the large size;
  • - lentil – 1 bank (400 g);
  • - 2 bulbs of the average size;
  • - a ginger root – 3 centimeters;
  • - small dark raisin – 30 g;
  • - cilantro – a small bunch;
  • - vegetable oil;
  • - a Chili powder – 1 teaspoon;
  • - salt and pepper to taste.

Instruction

1. We brush a quince rigid to remove a down from a peel. We put fruits in a pan with cold water, we bring to the boil on strong fire, then we reduce fire to an average, we cook a quince to softness - about 35-45 minutes.

2. We take out a quince from a pan, we remove aside that fruits cooled down. We fill in with a part of broth raisin, we leave for 15-20 minutes that it softened. We throw back raisin on a sieve that excess liquid flew down.

3. We crush cilantro most small, we leave several leaves for decoration of a dish. We clean onions and ginger and it is small cut. In a frying pan on average fire we warm a little vegetable oil, we fry onions with ginger till beautiful golden color, constantly stirring slowly that vegetables didn't burn. In 10 minutes we add cilantro and raisin to a frying pan, we strew with curry powder, we mix ingredients and we fry 1 more minute, after that we remove from fire.

4. We cut a quince lengthways on 2 half, we delete a core, and pulp is taken very accurately out (the quince has to have about 1.5 centimeters thick walls therefore all pulp doesn't need to be deleted). We crush pulp by means of a knife, we shift in a frying pan to onions.

5. We throw back lentil on a colander, we allow to flow down liquids. We shift lentil to onions, we salt and we pepper to taste, accurately we mix ingredients to homogeneous mass. We fill with a stuffing a quince.

6. The baking tray is greased with a small amount of oil, we spread on it the stuffed quince, we send to the oven warmed up to 180 degrees for 15 minutes. We send boats from a quince hot, having decorated with leaves of cilantro or any other greens.
