How to prepare a turkey in orange marinade

This gentle and at the same time very rich and tasty dish which can become decoration of any holiday. Meat of a turkey is well combined with various garnishes and it is considered dietary. It is perfectly shaded by orange marinade, it gives to a dish ease and aroma.

It is required to you

  • - turkey, weighing from 2.5 kg;
  • - 4 oranges;
  • - 50 ml. olive oil;
  • - greens for ornament;
  • - salt to taste;
  • - 2 garlic gloves;
  • - 50 ml. mayonnaise.

Instruction

1. Well wash out a turkey. Meat has to be fresh and well defrozen. Make small cuts on a back and on each side. Depth of cuts shouldn't be more than couple of centimeters. Take a culinary needle or a thin sharp knife and accurately make punctures in a carcass of a turkey at small distance. It is necessary in order that meat became impregnated with marinade better.

2. Wash oranges in warm water and dry by means of a towel. Take a small grater and, without cleaning off a peel from orange, rub it on a grater - so that in places the peel began to grow white. Then cut oranges on large pieces and divide into two parts. Mix one part with a polished dried peel, squeeze out juice of the second and mix with the first. Add a half of mayonnaise and olive oil to mix, slightly salt. Let's infuse 30 minutes and add small shabby garlic gloves.

3. The turned-out marinade rub off a turkey from all directions, add to a few marinade inside. Tie legs by a twine and lay a turkey on a baking tray with a high side. Let's infuse 30 more minutes. Then rub off it the remained mayonnaise and put in an oven. Bake on 180 degrees during two – three hours, depending on the size. If necessary you can add in process of cooking a little plain boiled water on a baking tray that meat didn't burn from below. A ready turkey slightly cool, shift to a dish and before giving on a holiday table decorate with greens.
