Candied fruits call the candied pieces of fruit, berries, a peel of citrus fruits. Such sweeties can be made in house conditions and to please the members of household. For preparation of candied fruits it is better to take oranges or lemons with a thick thin skin. They are often used at production of cakes for giving of a pungent flavor.

It is required to you

  • dried peel orange (500 g);
    • sugar (600 g);
    • water (1 l);
    • icing sugar (200 g);
    • citric acid (1 tsp).

Instruction

1. Peel oranges. Carefully cut a peel on four-six petals, put them in ware with cold water and keep, about, a day three there.

2. Three times a day change water for fresh, old merge.

3. Upon termination of this term, a crust boil in new water. Let's them prokipet minutes fifteen. Later cast away on a colander.

4. Separately mix in ware a sugar syrup. For this purpose take one liter of water and six hundred grams of sugar on five hundred grams of orange-peels. Bring water with sugar to the boil. Cut a crust on cubes, stripes or still somehow as that it will want to you.

7. When candied fruits cook last time, add citric acid to syrup. Remove from fire. Let's stand three hours. Later cast away syrup with candied fruits on a colander and wait until from them all liquid flows down.

8. Prepare a wide flat dish which bottom should be strewed with a thin layer of icing sugar. Separately prepare a saucer with icing sugar. When ready orange crusts well cool down, roll in everyone in icing sugar and lay out on a flat dish so that segments lay separately from each other.

9. After orange segments completely dry, put them in a glass jar, close from above parchment, tie and put to the dry place.
