Pear jam – a tasty, fragrant and useful dish. This fruit contains the mass of vitamins, and it has good diuretic properties. And still pear jam is used as febrifuge that does it irreplaceable during exacerbation of catarrhal diseases.

It is required to you

  • pears - 1 kg;
    • granulated sugar - 1 kg;
    • water - 3 glasses.

Instruction

1. Choose pears. For roll-in it is necessary to use summer and autumn which grew under the open sky, but not in hotbeds. They have characteristic honey taste and a persistent pleasant odor. From them most tasty, fragrant, and, above all – useful jam turns out.

2. Touch fruits. All pears have to be ripe and integral, without defects and wormholes. Otherwise jam can blow up.

3. Carefully wash up fruit under flowing water and clean from a tail and stones. It is better not to delete a peel as it impacts to jam a peculiar pungent flavor.

4. Cut some pear on pieces. They can be small or, on the contrary, large – everything depends only on your desire. However it is easier to eat jam with small pieces.

5. Fill in the cut fruit with slightly acidified boiling water and leave them in it for 10 minutes. After that water needs to be drained, and to cool pears to room temperature.

6. Put water on fire and add to it sugar. Then bring syrup to the boil, from time to time surely stirring slowly with it that sugar was completely dissolved.

7. Fill in pear pieces with the received syrup and boil thoroughly everything until fruit don't brighten. It will take from 30 to 40 minutes. At the end of cooking it is possible to add a little citric acid and to steam of grams of vanilla sugar. These ingredients will impact to jam interesting relish and pleasant aroma.

8. While pear cooks in syrup, prepare tanks for jam. For this purpose sterilize banks and covers within 10-15 minutes. It is the best of all to use banks on 0.5 or 0.7 liters.

9. Carefully pour ready hot jam on banks and roll up them. Deliver to capacity lids down to the dark place and wrap up with a blanket, having left in such situation for couple of days.

10. At will it is possible to add a small amount of other fruit to the boiling jam, for example, of apples or oranges. They will give to jam an additional highlight. And it is possible to put in each can lemon segment also.
