Pie with a beet stuffing

If you want to try unusual, but at the same time very tasty dish, then you should pay the attention to beet pie. This dish is cooked very simply and has not absolutely usual, but rather pleasant and bright flavor which by all means will be pleasant to you and your relatives.

Ingredients:

  • 250 g of shortcake dough (leavened);
  • 200 g of cheese of firm grades;
  • 150 g of cow's milk;
  • couple of eggs;
  • 4 tablespoons of a crumb almond;
  • 250 g of the boiled beet;
  • 150 g of cottage cheese (it surely has to be soft);
  • any dried herbs (for example, oregano, rosemary, thyme and so on);

Preparation:

  • Spread baking paper on a table. Then directly on it roll shortcake dough which you can both buy in shop, and to make independently. The turned-out round flat cake has to be equal in diameter to 30 centimeters.
  • Baking paper with the test keeps within a baking dish. You will need to pin a bottom of pie in several places a fork and to make very beautiful sides.
  • On a bottom a thin layer the crumb almond gets enough sleep. It is applied only here to absorb surplus of moisture which surely will appear when roasting beet.
  • After that you can pass to direct preparation of a stuffing. For this purpose you need to clean and to properly wash out vegetables. Further they are crushed by means of a large grater. Also cheese is in the same way crushed. The crushed beet carefully mixes up with cheese, the stuffing is ready. Now it can be shifted in a form for pie and to level a surface, at the same time the stuffing has to keep a short texture.
  • Milk, vitelluses and cottage cheese mix up in other ware. Herbs and salt are poured into the turned-out weight. In a separate deep bowl to magnificent foam egg whites are beaten, also mix them with yolks and milk.
  • The turned-out filling should be poured out in a form directly on a stuffing. Then the prepared pie can be placed in the oven which is in advance warmed up to 220 degrees. The dish will be ready approximately in half an hour.

To tea ready pie is served warm. Before giving on a table it needs to be pulled out from a form and by means of a knife to cut on small pieces.
