Plum tincture (a slivovitsa, a slivyanka) – magnificent drink with an astringent flavor and saturated stone aroma. It is appropriate also on family celebrations, and on a big festive feast with numerous guests. Except flavoring advantages, plums tincture is used from time immemorial in traditional medicine as universal remedy at colds (in the form of compresses and lotions) and as antiseptics at cuts and small wounds.

Plum on alcohol

Ingredients:

- plum – 3 kg; - sugar – 2 glasses;

- alcohol – 2 glasses; - water – 2 glasses. Wash up plums and dry on a paper towel. Cut in half and remove stones. Lay berries in a large bottle or in bank of the suitable size and fill in with alcohol and water. Shake up properly, close a stopper and remove to the dark place. 5 weeks later, add sand, shake a large bottle and remove for 5 weeks (periodically stir up). After this term filter contents through a strainer or 2 layers of a gauze. Pour on bottles, close traffic jams and remove on storage to the dark place.

At will you can use cognac instead of alcohol. The strong alcoholic drink possessing an amazing and rich bouquet of tastes and aromas will turn out.

Plum tincture with mint

Ingredients: - plum – 1 kg; - vodka – 1 l; - sugar – 1 glass; - water – 3/4 glasses; - mint – 5-6 branches with inflorescences. Wash up plums, dry and remove stones. Fill in berries with vodka and remove to the warm place. In 2 weeks filter. Further: of sugar and a small amount of water make syrup, i.e. bring mix of sugar and water at constant stirring to boiling. Switch off fire and it is accurate, a thin stream pour in the filtered plum tincture in hot syrup. Mix properly. On a bottom of the prepared in advance clean large bottle put the mint branches previously potolchenny in a mortar. Once again filter a slivyanka, fill a large bottle, densely close a stopper and remove to the dark place. In a day - two drink will be ready-to-serve.

Dried plums tincture

Ingredients: - a pitted dried prune – 100 g; - vodka – 0.5 l; - sugar – 1/2 glasses; - citric acid – 2 g. Drench prunes with boiled water, and then wash a baking plate with flowing water. Lay in a large bottle or to bank. Pour sand and citric acid. Fill in with vodka. Stir up a large bottle and define to the dark place for 10 days. Daily stir up contents. Approximately in a week future slivyanka will gain beautiful color, and there will be further its saturation and intensity. 3-4 more days later, filter large bottle contents, pour in net capacity, close a dense cover and remove on storage to the dark place or give on a table.

Slivovitsa

Ingredients: - plum – 6 kg; - sugar – 3 kg; - water – 3 glasses. Don't wash some plum, on them the whitish scurf has to remain. Accurately remove stones. Lay berries in glass big capacity (for example, in a 20-liter large bottle). Mix sugar with water and fill in plums. Tie a neck a gauze and remove for 3 days to the warm place (it is possible on the sun). Periodically stir up a large bottle, incline it in the parties that contents mixed up. At emergence of signs of fermentation – bubbles and foam on a surface – remove a gauze from a neck and put a water lock or, behind absence, put on a rubber medical glove a neck. When the water lock ceased to gurgle, and the glove fell down that speaks about completion of process of fermentation, filter large bottle contents through a double layer of a gauze and pour on bottles, having densely closed traffic jams. 2 month later, the slivovitsa is ready-to-serve.
